What is the advantage over e.g. Eneloop NIMH batteries? The voltage is 1.5V instead of 1.2V (which doesn't matter for 98% of my devices), but otherwise?
If it's really only 2% of your devices that properly require 1.5V for things like the battery indicator and device behaviour to work as expected, then Eneloop might be the better choice despite less versatility. Especially when you combine multiple batteries, the voltage difference increases and in some cases leads to unexpected behaviour. For many professionals, it is the predictability of the discharge curve of Coast batteries that provides a better user experience and less downtime or even critical failures. In addition, the classic white Eneloop has a 20% lower capacity AA battery than the Coast ZX AA.
NiMh batteries suffer from memory effect and discharge even when you don't need them. These AA batteries have Lithium technology, which does not have these disadvantages. In addition, you do not need a special charger and they last more charging cycles.
