The main differences are basket capacity and whether or not the fryer has manual temperature settings or digital settings. I am happy with mine as I use it for light cooking. I didn't want to keep using the oven for small things, so for me, this was a great alternative. I already see the difference in my power bill. Wash it when it has cooled down after every use: the heat and closed space makes the used oil gummy and difficult to remove. And never use metal utensils or abrasive material in/on the basket: the the non-stick coating is known to be very thin.
