The 230V input is located where the screw for the earthing is. The earthing is required for certain devices and can be connected there. But I don't have an example of a device that doesn't work without earthing. The outputs with earthed sockets are on the other side and both can be used. By the way, I am very satisfied with the part!

This sealing is also still a mystery to me and I would also be really interested to know what is supposed to be different in Switzerland than in the rest of the world! Why the required earthing? Why should only one of 4 connections be accessible? I'm curious to see what I'll get tomorrow. If I find out anything else, I'll post it here for all those who still want to order...

Would it also be possible to make your own plug to which only the earth is connected? The only alternative I have seen are long metal skewers from agriculture, not really practical for indoor use. :(
