what exactly is the difference (apart from colour and price) to the silver Wilfa? I didn't mean the ones with the timer, I realise the difference.

It's really just the colour.
Black is a standard colour and is probably cheaper.
It's exactly the same machine. The black machine is simply cheaper than the silver-grey one.
