Unfortunately, I don't understand anything about electronics :-/ Can I charge an e-bike with a device like this and a good panel (Goal Zero Nomad 50)? As a single parent with 2 kids, I want to go on my first bike tour this summer... But if my battery dies halfway and I have the heavy bike and loaded trailer and the kids get tired... I need a solution ;-) Thanks for your help!
In terms of capacity, this device is not really suitable for this.
A typical e-bike has a battery with 400 - 800 Wh. This Goal Zero Yeti 200X battery, on the other hand, only stores 187 Wh. This means that with a full Yeti 200X you can only charge your empty e-bike battery up to halfway (if at all).
The Nomad 50 solar panel won't really help either, as you would have to leave it in the sun for around 5-10 hours to fully recharge the empty Yeti 200X.
In other words: to get your e-bike battery fully charged, you need at best 10 hours, but perhaps 20 or more hours of sunshine. And thus standstill, because you have to set up the panels.
