Question about Delock HDMI Audio Extractor

The tech. Data sheet states: "Does this mean that the HDMI signal passes through an intermediate amplifier and that the HDMI Audio Extractor can also function as a cable extender-amplifier? (I had installed a 20m HDMI cable with a built-in amplifier in our hall. But the cable was suddenly defective. Now I only want to buy a 10m cable without an amplifier. With the Extractor - which we also own - you could extend to another 10m, right? ...it is generally said that up to 10m HDMI should not be a problem.... )
