Question about Satechi Per USB-C Desktop Charger

The "small" USB-C port does not charge for me. I think I've charged something on it before, but I'm no longer sure. With USB-C, the charging current is negotiated, so devices such as a laptop that can handle much more charging current should also be able to be charged on the small port, just more slowly - right?

That is correct. However, it is also important to use a suitable cable. Unfortunately, not all cables work (even if they have the right plugs). If necessary, try a different cable and make sure that the laptop uses a socket that supports charging.
