The display on my 3sixty suddenly went black. Otherwise, the device works without any problems.
Switching it off and on again did not help.
Does anyone have an explanation or a solution for this problem?
My Thomy's 3sixty also no longer had a backlight. I looked into the matter, localised the problem and fixed it.
Trigger warning: From here on, only people who can withstand operating on an open device should read this.
1. remove the cover with the fabric cover, there are no screws here 2. remove the intermediate cover with the two loudspeakers, there are 8 screws here 3. pull off the rotary knobs 4. detach the ribbon cable at the top (fold up the flap) 5. heat the glued-on front panel with a hair dryer and carefully remove it from the device 6. loosen the front carrier and buttons, here there are 8 more screws plus 3 smaller ones 7. pull away the front carrier and pull the ribbon cable out of the silicone seal 8. remove the two large nuts on the rotary encoders 9. loosen the print with the display, here it has 8 screws again 10. replace transistor Q11. Type: MMBT3904 11. put everything back together, good luck.
It may be that not all devices have the same fault.
It happened to us too. The radio is now 4 years old. So we're not the only ones with this problem. I didn't expect such a problem to occur so often with such a manufacturer. Doesn't speak for quality. No more Teufel devices.
Source-System settings-Backlight-(Standby time before dimming or select brightness on or brightness standby) If this does not help, the display is probably defective.
When the radio is switched on, three brightness levels can be set. High, Medium and Low. When you switch it off (standby), you can set it to Medium, Low or Off. The display is not completely dark when switched off. The time is then displayed very dimly. (But this doesn't bother you at all when you're sleeping, for example) It really is very dim. Or unplug the power cable from the radio for at least 5 minutes. Yes, really five minutes! This is important so that all internal capacitors are discharged and the system is completely reset. Then plug it in again.
