That is indeed strange. It works fine for me, at home and at work. I assume that you have tried to restart the router. And: Does Spotify connect work with other devices?
And do you know the APP "Undok"? I installed it for remote control of the device via smartphone. I don't think it helps with pairing, but it's quite practical for handling. And the app also connects to the unit via the same WLAN network. If that works, it would indicate that the error is more likely to be on the Spotify side.
