Since it is only 16ohm, I would like to know if the volume is strong enough.

It is loud enough. Amazing and i mean amazing clarity! But if you Love Bass, that is it's weak Point and really fragile. I got Mine exchanged after a year because a loose contact.
Sound Isolation is pretty impressive if you get a good fit from the earbuds.
"Only"? Speakers get louder the less resistance they have. They are loud enough on anything. Attention: HF5 are "monitors" ... they are tonally quite neutral and clear and have relatively little bass. Nothing for bassheads! But ideal for people who like clear sound ... and they isolate really well.
