Set up was smooth, but the default is a wide angle zoom (lots of background), I would like to zoom in on the face. Do I need software to do this? If so, which one (link please)? There are lots of different ones on the Logitech site.

You can do this with the Logi Tune software.
For Windows you can use this kink:
