Question about Akai Professional APC Mini MK2

To connect the Akai Professional APC Mini MK2 MIDI controller to GarageBand, you should follow the steps below:

1. make sure your Akai APC Mini MK2 is properly connected to your computer. Connect the controller to your computer via USB.

2. open GarageBand on your computer.

In GarageBand, click on "Preferences" in the toolbar at the top.

From the Audio/MIDI drop-down menu, select MIDI.

Under "MIDI Control" in the "Input" and "Output" columns, check that your Akai APC Mini MK2 is in the list of available devices. Make sure that the checkbox next to the controller is activated.

Close the settings window.

To ensure that GarageBand receives the MIDI signal from your Akai APC Mini MK2, create a software instrument track. To do this, from the File menu, select New Project and then Software Instrument.

Click on the "Record" button in the toolbar at the top and make sure that the "Count" option is activated. Then press one of the pads or buttons on your Akai APC Mini MK2 to ensure that the MIDI signal is detected. You should see the recording bar in GarageBand light up.
