QUESTION TO YOU: I have a portable DVD player and there is an AV Out connector. is this adapter suitable for connecting the portable player externally to the TV and using it as a regular device?

It works perfectly for me. But don't expect miracles, pixels are still not there. Otherwise, I can recommend the device.
