Question: Can i use the 144hz of a monitor when i connect it to my laptop (asus zenbook pro 15) with this cable? can its graphics card display the high refresh rate at all? Or is there a good solution to connect a 144hz monitor to my laptop?

The Zenbook Pro 15 has a GTX1050 installed, which can run at 144 Hz in principle. But this is a mid-range graphics card, so you will only be able to run current games with 144 Hz at low resolutions - if at all. And whether you have any advantage with PowerPoint at 144 Hz, I dare to doubt.
