Oh my goodness. My delivery date has already been postponed four times by 7-8 days. Really frustrating, unfortunately no transparency on Digitec's part. Why not just not give a delivery date?
Digitec is quite transparent. It just depends on who processes the request... ;) In my case, it went quite quickly and I was given a good explanation as to why this is the case. In my case it was about the LG34GN850. Here is an excerpt from the nice lady who answered me:
".....After reviewing your order, I must unfortunately admit in advance that we are dealing with an admittedly rather unfortunate case. In addition to the delay in delivery, it is also unfortunate because your product is not in stock with us, but is shipped directly from the supplier. In such cases, we are completely dependent on the data we receive. Fortunately, this works very well in most cases - but in your case we have the unpleasant situation that this information is not correct or has proven to be vague.
In the meantime, the delivery date has even been postponed to mid-January, i.e. the supplier misjudged the delivery date and had to postpone it again. The reasons for this can be complex and range from delayed deliveries on the part of the manufacturer, to missing material, to limited production due to Corona (lack of personnel).
Of course, none of this is of any use to you or us, as the unacceptable situation remains that we are unable to deliver your LG monitor earlier......"
I have now tried 3 monitors. The LG34, LG38 and the Alienware AW38,... I am now stuck with the LG38, which is due to arrive at the beginning of March. In the meantime I have come to terms with it. I might even buy it if attractive alternatives are presented at CES21 next week.
I'm feeling exactly the same way with this monitor.... Really tedious!
