Question about Auvisio Stand-alone video grabber for digitizing analog video sources

Often when transferring from VHS to another medium (e.g. stand-alone DVD recorder) the picture becomes black and white because of a "copy protection". Can this grabber also digitise purchased VHS tapes (with copy protection signals) without errors (i.e. in colour)?
