My VHS player has two Scart, one SVHS and three Cinch connections (red, white and yellow). I also have the InLine S-VHS/Scart adapter. I want to digitise S-VHS and VHS videos with the Auvisio Stand-Alone Video Grabber. How do I connect the parts to get the best result?
My attempts so far have been extremely poor: only black and white or no sound.

I think the best connection is with the cinch. 
The cable that came with it was defective. The recording was also totally bad. You have to buy a new cable. I would also check the cable supplied. 
The effort of sending the cable back was too stupid for me.
