MacBook Pro (2016) worked with the USB-C->USB-C cable (picture & charge at the same time). With the 2018 MacBook Pro nothing works anymore. Would an HDMI->USB-C cable work (at least picture)?

My 2017 Macbook Pro also works with the supplied USB-C cable. Why shouldn't the 2018 one work? Disconnect everything from the power supply... otherwise make a Genuisbar request to Apple!
