In the last few months, however, the control dial has deteriorated: setting the temperature has become very tedious, the number jumps almost at random - sometimes 10 degrees in the wrong direction. Even if you turn the dial very slowly "step by step", the numbers jump rather randomly.
Does anyone have similar problems and possibly a solution? According to the app, the firmware is up to date. It seems to be something mechanical in the controller itself.
Otherwise I will probably have to claim under warranty.

I am not aware of the problem so far. If a software update does not help, it is most likely a mechanical problem with the dial. I would recommend talking to the manufacturer while the warranty is still valid.
