Isn't the point of a set that the price for both items is less than buying them separately? Because I think 899 + 899 is 1798 and not 1829 so it's cheaper for me to buy them separately.

Sometimes I don't understand that either. I've seen it with various bundles.
If employees REALLY put this in, I have to ask myself:
1)Are they taking the piss out of the community who are too lazy to look for both items and add up the prices?
2)or employees who should be provided with a calculator ?
