Question about Brother DCP-L3550CDW
Is this printer also suitable for photo prints? A reasonably good quality is already expected.

No, in my opinion colour lasers are generally less suitable for really beautiful photos, including this device. But it does everything else well. For me, a laser plus a separate, smaller photo printer is the solution to this dilemma.
I installed this printer yesterday and was pleasantly surprised.
Sure, it's not a photo printer and an inkjet printer certainly delivers better results, but for 98% of my requirements the result is really good. So, for example, a photo-heavy A4 page, about a third of it covered with 4-5 photos, the rest with text:
I am fully satisfied.
