Is this lens designed for full frame cameras or crop sensor cameras? The description clearly says that this lens is designed for crop sensor cameras, but the full description says: Corresponds to a focal length of 80-160 mm. And I really don't understand why the focal length factor should be written for a lens designed for crop sensor cameras!? I have just bought a Canon 90D. What is the focal length of this lens on the Canon 90D camera? Grateful.
It's an EF-S, so it's a crop lens. It will go very well with the 90D. Unfortunately, it's a bit heavy. The focal lengths are always written as for "full frame" lenses... so for Canon crop lenses, you need to multiply by 1.6.
The real focal length is always given and it does not matter whether the lens is designed for full-frame or APS-C. The crop factor always applies. It seems to me that people never get these misconceptions out of their heads. By the way, there is no f1.8 zoom for full format anywhere. It would be much too big and too heavy.
