Is this cable compatible with my Harman Kardon BDS 385S and the Swisscom TV Box? Do I need 2 of these cables, 1 cable for the reciver and the Swisscom Box and 1 cable for the reciver and the TV? Is the increase in performance noticeable?

Hello.. 

If you want to connect 2 devices, you also need 2 cables, unless you want to reconnect each time. With this cable you are on the safe side for the future. However, it is probably a bit too much for the Swisscom Box and a reciever.

You could also choose a cheaper variant. For example, this one:

It supports up to 4K resolution and is therefore sufficient.
