Question about Microsoft LifeCam Studio

Shouldn't the device simply work with Plug&Play? At least that's how it was with Win10 Home. It also says so on the manufacturer's page. Quote:"..No additional software is required for Windows 8 and higher...".

Windows 10 with all updates (7 June 2017): Runs for a few seconds at best, then error 0xA00F4271(0x8007001F). Same problem on all USB ports.
