Question about Club 3D DisplayPort — DisplayPort
Is there anything special to consider when setting 4K @ 60 Hz? I can't get a Geforce 1080 with a Philips 288P6 to 60 Hz with this cable - I only have the choice between 30 and 29 Hz ;-/
With another 4k monitor (ASUS PB287Q) I still had to activate DP 1.2 in the monitor options so that 60hz via display port worked.
That's rubbish - DP 1.2 is sufficient for 4k @ 60Hz.

The default setting in the OSD is probably DP 1.1, which only allows 4k@30Hz.

You need a DP cable version 1.4 or 2 1.2 cables.
