is the mount really ef-s? i compared it to the sigma 50mm, looks identical. the sigma 50 is a full frame ef. i have a canon with ef-s that has a ring outside the mount.

This lens was made EXTRA for APS-C only, i.e. EF-S.
They may look the same but physically they are not compatible.
