Is the LaCie Rigged Mini compatible with a Mac Book? The Toshiba I have ordered does not work

Yes, that's possible. LaCie grew up in the Mac market and its products have always been Mac compatible. (I myself have been employing LaCie hard drives on Macs for over 20 years).
