Is the 275W compared to the 300W of the other KitchenAid models a major disadvantage?

No, we don't notice that.
We previously had the Artisan model. It was very unstable and moved with the movement of the motor on the kitchen counter. Even various repair orders could never get this under control and even a replacement had the same problems.
Now we are just happy that everything works.
