Is it possible to connect the jack connections from the front panel of the enclosure to the sound card? Or is that even necessary, or does the mainboard ensure that the sound runs via the dedicated sound card?
I have this card and can definitely say that there are only connections to the outside and there is also no possibility that the sound card can output the sound somewhere else. This card does not really bring an audible improvement for me. Rather in the negative, as the power is drawn via the PCI-E slot, there is an unpleasant electronic beeping when the graphics card is under load in the system. If you need an additional sound card because of the number of connections or for better quality, then I would tend towards a USB solution. They should be less susceptible to such things and can also be placed at the front of the computer so that you don't always have to reach around the PC if you have to unplug headphones/boxes from time to time.
As far as I am mistaken, there is no way to connect the jack connections on the front panel to the card with this sound card. Even the mainboard cannot ensure that the sound runs via the dedicated sound card; the speakers or headphones have to be plugged into the card.
