Interesting microphone. Which device is suitable for connecting it to the PC? Of course, it should correspond to the quality of the microphone, it would be a pity if the audio properties of the microphone are ruined by cheap mixing desk quality. Phantom power, preamplifier (cloudlifter?) etc?

Since the RODE NTG3 is a directional microphone, I bought it for exactly this purpose. I therefore only use it for the original sound for live video reports and recordings on the video or SLR camera. Depending on the camera model, I connect a Tascam DR 40 in between to get the necessary phantom power. I have never used it directly on a PC, as I use smaller studio microphones at home.
On the whole, I am very satisfied with the directivity and the sound of the NTG 3 compared to the NTG 2.
