Question about Delock HDMI Audio Extractor
If you connect the extractor to a PC via HDMI-in and connect the HDMI-out to a stereo-only TV, does the PC recognise the extractor as a 5.1 audio output device?
@Gorefiend: did it work? i would like to do the same thing to get 5.1 sound from my geforce gtx 970 to my stereo tv, and then get 5.1 sound from the tv to my home cinema speakers.
additional question: does the samsung smart tv (stereo) then recognise the 5.1 sound as with tv channels or do i then have to pass on the sound from the extractor to the home cinema system via S/PDIF?

Yes, it should actually work. I have a 5.1 TV connected, but in my opinion only the input signal is relevant. It splits the sound from there. But I'm not 100% sure.
