I would like to use this cable as an extension for my USB-C docking station. Is that possible?
I got the cable for the same purpose. It works perfectly for me.

Should work without any problems. You may want to check which USB-C version your docking station uses. The extension cable is v.3.1 and has the following features: Max. transfer speed: 10 Gbit/s. Max. transfer speed: 10 Gbit/s, Max. power supply: 5 A. Max. power supply: 5 A. If the docking station uses the same or older version, this is not a problem. If it is newer, the power supply or data transmission may suffer when using the extension cable.
