I would like to know if this device can be used as a backup power supply for my CPAP machine at night. That the Jackery is connected to the mains at the same time as it is connected to my CPAP machine. And in the event of a power cut, that it takes over automatically without my CPAP stopping and me being woken up?
The supplier requested the specifications, but without the information provided the following instruction:
"Considering that the customer has not provided the specifications, that how to calculate the operating time to see if it works is also attached.
The 240 can power the CPAP, however, depending on the power of the CPAP, it will probably not be able to run the device all night. We generally recommend the Explorer 500 for powering CPAP machines. This can help you with about 8-9 hours of CPAP machine time.
You can calculate the working time of your machine by dividing the power of your machine by the watt-hours of our generators. For example, our Explorer 500 has a capacity of 518Wh, which means that if you use a 60W fan via the DC port (i.e. 518Wh/60W = 8.6 hours), the running time would be approximately 8.6 hours. If you use the 110V AC port instead, please take into account a conversion loss of 15%. (e.g. 500wh * 0.85/60W = 7 hours).
Actual power consumption may vary depending on the make/model/setting of your device."
According to the user manual, the Jackery Explorer 240 can power a CPAP machine for 6 to 21 hours on its own. If it is powered continuously, this autonomy should logically be extended by the same amount. In the event of a power failure your CPAP will continue to be powered by the Jackery for at least 6 to 21 hours.
