Question about Zotac GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity
I would like to cut 8K RAW in davinci resulve without any problems. Here comes my question. Could I do it well with the 3080 or do I need the 3090? I still have the GTX 980TI and it always fills up the GPU memory, it only has 6 GB. Therefore I don't know if the 10 GB of the RTX 3080 would be enough, even if it should be stored faster. LG

What's the point of a car with a powerful engine if the chassis and frame can't keep up with the performance?
From the sound of it, you also have an "older" cpu in use... I would rather replace it than the gpu, resolve works with the cpu, just as a side note.

GPU memory full is also a well-known error message that is not necessarily correct. Some can solve it in the settings with CUDA/OpenGL.
I would also be interested in whether >10 GB for davinci resolve is useful...
