I would like to connect the HP Pavilion 27fh as an external display to my 13" MacBook Pro (purchased in 2018). Does it fit in terms of resolution? Does it matter at all? I need it for normal office work.

So from the resolution point of view it's no problem, but do you have a suitable cable/adapter? Because some MacBooks only have USB-C or Mini DisplayPort (no HDMI). It's best to check that too.
