Question about Apple iPhone 8
I would like to buy this Iphone for use in Switzerland as well as in China. I would buy one just before my next trip to China and try it out there with a Chinese SIM card (my Iphone 5 has no 3 or 4G reception with a CN card, for example). For German colleagues, their "German" Iphones work ok in China. If it doesn't work with a phone bought here in CH, how long do I have to return the phone? Thanks for the answers!

The following LTE frequency bands are supported according to the specifications: LTE frequency bands 7, 38, 3, 20, 17, 13, 4, 2, 5, 40, 8, 1, 19, 25, 6, 28, 29, 39, 41, 12, 18, 30, 34, 66
Therefore, check which provider supports which frequency band in China, this also usually varies from provider to provider.
Do you use China Mobile as your provider? They usually do not support the frequencies and LTE bands of our "western" models. I advise you to get a China Unicom sim card, this provider has the same frequencies as the international smartphone models.
