I wanted to order three of these cables on Saturday. The price was 60.- per piece. I was interrupted during the order and could only complete it on Sunday. Unfortunately, the price per cable suddenly rose to almost exactly double. Although there were still more than 10 in stock on Saturday. How can that be?

Now the price has dropped to CHF 60.40 again. Apparently the department responsible has agreed on a 47% discount. I guess the working tool of this department is a cube set.

The daily prices are not necessarily linked to the stock level. Some factors influence this. In the case of a price increase, a supplier/order quantity change and a corresponding change in the purchase price is usually responsible. However, the price can just as easily drop, and of course this is also the case for items in stock, such as a sale or promotion.
This article, however, seems to make such price jumps conspicuously often, we are happy to pass the case on to the responsible department and hope for a timely review.
