Question about Digitus HDMI A to VGA Converter

I want to use the adapter between my PS4 slim and my old Epson H375B projector. However, it just won't work. The signal seems to be transmitted, but I get no picture. I have tried everything, HDCP off, resolution down RGB range limited. Is the adapter simply not suitable for Playstation?

I use the adapter between PC (formerly Acer, now a NIPOGI) and monitor (ASUS, VE228). The image signal is transmitted without any problems. I have not had any problems so far. I can't say whether the adapter works with playstation.
