I want to digitise a large number of old photos (around 2,000). Is this scanner suitable for my needs? Knowing that I'm not in a hurry, if this scanner allows me to scan 50 by 50 photos.

Hello and thank you for your answers. If I summarise what you're telling me, it does the job if you don't want a high quality scan and you have to be very careful about peeling off the photos (I think it's the same for other scanners). I need a minimum of quality as these are old photos, do you have an alternative?

In principle, this is possible. But as was written above, it is a document scanner. It depends on your needs. The results will be OK if you want to scan photos quickly. But to make good quality prints from them afterwards, not so much. Otherwise the device is ok and fast. But it specialises in documents and not pictures. Fibre starts with the scan quality - the speed alone is enough to make some concessions - and ends with the colour space, colour reproduction and colour gradients.

Hello RomainL626

If you have scratches in the photos, I recommend a scan that uses infrared to find and correct the defective areas.

For the further processing I have chosen a very high resolution to keep as much image information as possible.

That will be possible. Make sure to shuffle the images beforehand so that they are separated.

It can.
I am extremely happy with this scanner. It is a document scanner not a flatbed scanner. Phito quality is great if you want to digitise memories, not if you want to make large print outs.
What you do need to make sure is that the photos don’t stick to each other, like kodak printouts sometimes do.

Hello. In my opinion, this small scanner will not allow you to do this work. Best regards
