I use the docking station with a Surface Book 3 and a Dell monitor U3419W, it worked well at the beginning. Since a few weeks there are unexpected and external influences to short interruptions whereupon the image of the monitor has to reload. Cables etc. are new and should be fine. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
Yes. I have the same. The disconnect lasts up 30 seconds. Very irritating when having home office meeting. All connections are disconnected incl vpn It happens 1 a 2 times a day. Any idea how to fix?
I use the docking station with a Lenovo T490 and two Philips 245B1via DisplayPort (60 hertz) monitors and the same monitors are simultaneously connected directly to the iMac via HDMI. I got used to the two monitors plus laptop in the office and therefore set them up the same way in the home office and at home. No problems, works perfectly.
1) I would exchange the cables as a test.
2. if the error persists, test changing from HDMI to DisplayPort or vice versa and changing the refresh rate.
3. if the error persists, check the USB-C connection and wiggle the plug a little during operation. The connector does not fit perfectly and could possibly trigger the dropouts. 4.
If the error persists, connect the docking station to a different location (office, home, colleague...) and test whether the problem persists with a different infrastructure.
If the error happens regularly at the same time, check the computer software to see if power mode or another setting triggers the error.
6. if the error occurs regularly at the same time, check the screen software to see if sleep mode or similar is activated and at what time...
If the problem persists, file a warranty claim if still under warranty...

Please let us know the exact type of laptop that you are using. To which video port do you connect monitor/monitors.
How often does it happen (on average)? Does it happen randomly? Or have you noticed that it happens during a particular event?
