XYZprinting Da Vinci 1.0 Pro 3-in-1
I read that the scan quality is very poor. Can anyone confirm/replicate this?
I have had the printer for a few days. I haven't had time to try it out because of all the printing. I have scanned the following ei for you as a test:

If you have any further ideas, I will be happy to test it.
The scan function is unusable even with the latest firmware and software. The multiscan is even worse. You almost never manage to correctly match an object that is not exactly cube-shaped. Min 3x3cm, max 15x15cm. I bought the 3in1 because I was hoping to duplicate (i.e. scan and rework in 3D CAD) old model parts. I am very disappointed with the 3D scanner and can only recommend everyone to do without this function and buy the cheaper "Pro" model without the 3in1. The print quality, using the "Simplify3D" software, which is available for purchase, is excellent for the price.
I have been using the printer for more than a year and can say that with the right settings the result is quite good for the price. The scanning system actually leaves a lot to be desired, especially the conversion is rather tedious. The result is also not really satisfactory. If you scan a mobile phone, for example, it works quite well with the edge dimensions as long as the screen does not light up or reflect. But if you want to scan an H7 fit, for example, or complex geometries, you are much better off with the XYZ hand scanner. The limited scanning volume must also be taken into account.
