I read in the comments that it needs a "strong" soundboard on the computer. Which one does it work best with? I am looking for a good gaming headphone (there will be a separate microphone). Thanks for your help

Perhaps to elaborate a little: My computer has a "strong" sound card via PciE and an audio interface via USB. These two settings work separately from each other. These headphones are connected to the audio interface together with a microphone, and my "gaming headphones" run via the graphics card. I once connected these headphones to the sound card as a joke and set the sound card itself to not use an equaliser (i.e. "monitoring" for the game sound). The result was that you don't hear the usual rich bass effects and the game is generally less "bombastic". I then reconnected the headphones to the audio interface for monitoring. It would be throwing pearls before swine to use these headphones only for gaming. That's not what they're made for, and it's not where they really shine.
I would recommend closed-back headphones unless you actually want headphones for streaming (i.e., a home studio).
For a home studio, the headphones are just right.

The DT 880 Pro is designed for monitoring and mixing in music production. If you are looking for good gaming headphones from the same brand: Beyerdynamic custom Game!
By the way, Beyerdynamic headphones are very comfortable and don't get in the way when worn for a long time!
