should be possible. 
but i decided to use a different product to keep the 60hz picture quality. i also need it to send the picture to the beamer and the sound to the sonos beam.

it is important to note that a usb plug is required for the power supply. it is also important to note that the device (both) does not always start on its own. 
why ever... the devices must both be switched on and off again. 
I solved this with a switchable socket.

I use the Extractor for exactly the same reason. Even if the film has DTS. The Delock extracts the incoming signal via HDMI and forwards it via SPDIF to the Sonos Playbar.
