Question about Roline Mini DisplayPort — DisplayPort
I have two of these 5m cables connected to two DELL screens (U2718Q). Unfortunately, I have problems with the screens switching off or going black for about 1 second every 2 minutes. If I connect the same screen with HDMI it works... is the cable too bad or is it the distance?

I have the same cable. I only use one, but the connection works for me without interruptions. (Use it between the screen and a Surface docking station).
Regarding your described problem, I would rather conclude a problem with the connector. Either they are not plugged in nicely/correctly, or they have a loose contact.
