I have two boxes with a jack plug (headphone jack), will the volume control then work as before with the TV remote control?

Yes, of course. The speakers are active (with built-in amplifier) and also have a volume control. You set it to the right level once and then adjust the volume with the volume buttons on the remote control. I also have such speakers connected and run them parallel to the built-in speakers of the TV.

The volume control worked for me. Surprisingly, however, the audio signal from the Sunrise Setup Box only came through for SRF stations. Most of the other stations remained mute.
