I have the problem that I cannot set up the "Scan to Email" function with gmail & icloud. I have configured everything correctly in the router GUI. I have also searched online for solutions e.g. manually entering DNS etc.. Unfortunately all without success. Is there a solution?

Since 30 May 2022, Google has completely blocked so-called unsafe apps. HP Scan is one of them. It seems to be the same with Apple's Icloud address.
What works, however, is GMX.
The solution: Set up a GMX address and use it.

I had the same problem. I had to change two settings in my Google Account:

Go into your Google account (https://www.google.ch), then in the top right corner click on your icon, then "Manage Google Account". On the right side, go to Security. Then adjust the following two points:
- Sign in to Google => 2 step confirmation => off.
- Access by less secure apps => On

Hoi Lugi, I tried it with the SMTP server of Gmail for my @gmail.com address. Say smtp.gmail.com, port 465, SSL, for authentication gmail address incl. password. The error message I get is: Username or password incorrect. However, this is not the case. I then tried using the SMTP details of my iCloud email address. Again the same error message. I also get the same error message when I manually enter DNS on the printer.

Is there an error message of any kind? Do you want to use the SMTP from Gmail or iCloud? Or can you use the one from your provider? A little more information would be helpful. Unfortunately you can't attach screenshots here. But links: https://support.google.com/a...
