Question about Epson EcoTank ET-8550
I have the predecessor ET-7550, probably the worst and most expensive (749 Fr.) printer I have ever had. The prints are top quality, but: Printouts always show streaks. It gets even worse when the printer's print head is cleaned. And without exception. The only way to solve the problem is to use household paper and print head cleaner. Takes a good two hours, a lot of ink and a lot of nerves. It seems that the device uses the same parts as the A4 model, but they are too weak for the longer hoses due to A3. It is always necessary to build up pressure in the ink tanks, then the print head gets enough ink. In short, a fiddle. Have you had no such problems with the ET-8550 so far?

I've had the printer (ET-8550) for more than a year now and can't confirm any of the problems you described with its predecessor. It has even replaced my Pro-100 in the meantime. It runs great and I have already printed on many different media, all without streaks and in excellent quality. However, I top up the ink regularly and never get the tank below 30%. Unfortunately, I don't know what happens to the pressure in the tanks. But I don't think the filling quantity should play a role there.
