I have some questions about this product: - Can I install a normal SATA SSD in the drive bays without any adapters? - m.2 port it does not have? - Does it come with a RAM stick or are both slots filled? Is it ECC and standard size or HPE custom?

Helpful answer

The bays are 3.5", the SATA SSD is normally 2.5". So a mechanical adapter is absolutely necessary. Electrically it fits. M.2 is not available.
I had a 16GB RAM chip installed. I think it is DDR4 standard size. HPW actually specifies a maximum of 2x16GB, but there are users who use 2x32GB (https://www.servethehome.com/hpe-prolia...).
