I have read that only up to 2TB hard drives that are not signed by HP can run with it. Has anyone had any experience? I plan to run 4 x 4 TB (WD Red) in it.

I have 4x4TB running in ZFS Raidz1 and it works fine. This limit probably only applies to the hardware raid controller. Either way, a software raid is recommended.

These disks were then initialised as RAID-10. The system has been running flawlessly for years.
