I have read here that ASUS USB-BT400 works with Windows10. But Windows now tells me after setup that Windows10 does not take over. What can I do?

I have been using the USB-BT400 on a Windows 10 computer for about a month. Plugged it in and everything worked. No manual driver installation was necessary.

I have two computers on one of which it runs perfectly and on the other, after hours of trying, still nothing. after a bit of googling, this is a known problem, but none of the tips there have solved it.
